MUSANDAM TOURISM |TOP 7 TOURIST ATTRACTIONS IN OMAN
The Main 7 Tourist Attractions in Oman
The Sultanate of Oman is located on the westernmost tip of the Arabian Peninsula. Oman is a far-off country with amazing cities and attractions that is frequently disregarded by tourists. Although Muscat, the country's capital, is by far the most visited place, it only showcases a small portion of Oman's best qualities.
Make Oman the next place on your vacation wish list if you enjoy desert scenery, amazing mountain ranges, historic forts, and warm beaches all year round. An overview of Oman's top tourist destinations
Muscat
Muscat is probably the place you will go if you only visit one place in Oman. This city has something for everyone with its forts, palaces, museums, and markets. The Qasr Al Alam Royal Palace's interior cannot be visited, but you can visit the harbour to get a close-up glimpse of the amazing architecture.
The twin forts of Al Jalali and Al Mirani, which have been converted into museums and are open to the public, are keeping guard over the palace. On most mornings, non-Muslim visitors can also explore the majestic Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque and take in its highlights, which include a huge crystal chandelier, marble wall panels, and the second-largest Persian carpet in the entire world.
Salalah
Salalah, which can also be referred to as the second city after Muscat, is located in southern Oman. Because Sultan Qaboos, who has ruled Oman as sultan since 1970, is descended from Salalah, Salalah is of special significance today. The magnificent Qaboos Palace is one of Salalah's top attractions, and the Haffa, or Old Town, features more historic buildings.
Visit the Al Baleed Archaeological Site to travel back in time even further. Because Salalah is known for its frankincense trade, purchasing some as a memento from the souk in the Haffa is highly recommended. The area receives consistent rain from Indian monsoon clouds from June to August, which causes the coastal region nearby to flood.

Musandam
The United Arab Emirates separates Oman's Musandam Peninsula, which is the country's most northern region, from the rest of Oman. This area contains some very remote areas that have long been inhabited by people from coastal and mountain towns.. The northward-extending Musandam Fjords present breathtaking views.
The Musandam Fjords may offer a variety of memorable experiences, such as boat tours to explore the coastlines and mountains rising out of the ocean, dolphin spotting from a Dhow, or traditional Omani boat, and scuba diving at sea. This area is among the best in Oman to visit for environmental enthusiasts due to its limited population and plenty of animals.
Khasab
The peaceful city of Khasab is dripping with history and is home to Jebel Harim, also known as the "Mountain of Women," as well as sandy beaches, stunning coral reefs, and a Portuguese stronghold. Visitors can take a sail through the "Fjords of Musandam" and go swimming in the azure waters. Or, if they'd rather, they can snorkel and explore the gorgeous reefs and marine life. People who love history would enjoy hiking in the Musandam mountains and exploring the abandoned homes in the desolate settlements adjacent to Khasab. The locals take good care of the old city. Khasab, a modest settlement that has preserved its charm for generations, is a city unlike any other in Oman.
